In addition to all the gameplay and graphical enhancements coming in PES 2008, Konami has announced that the latest game in the chart-topping franchise will feature more licensed teams than ever before.
Brazil, Portugal, Greece, Scotland and Ireland are amongst the new licensed National teams and will be joined by a host of licensed Club teams including Newcastle and Tottenham.
Other Club teams new to PES this year are RSC Anderlecht, HJK Helsinki, IFK Goteborg, Panathinaicos, Spartak Moscow, Fenerbache, NK Dinamo Zagreb and FC Basel.
All the additional licensed teams mean PES 2008 will feature more than 3000 licensed players, realistically replicated within the game.
PES 2008 is scheduled for release for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation 2, PSP, PC and Nintendo DS in October. An all-new version of PES for the Wii is also in development for release in 2008.
