Two additional maps have already been included in the new Platinum Hits release of the game in the US, and Rare will also be releasing a second map pack over Xbox Live Marketplace at some point in the near future. The two maps included in the Platinum Hits edition are Facility and Ruin, both of which should strike a chord with N64 veterans.
Rare also brings news via its letters page of a new auto update that will fix “the mightily annoying cover move into wall bug which was spoiling the multiplayer experience for a lot of people, as well as fixing other more minor niggles.“
There’s no specific date set for the second map pack, but we’ll be sure to let readers know when it’s available. Speaking of Rare, Microsoft officially announced today that Viva Piñata, Rare’s third game for the Xbox 360, will be released across Europe on December 1 – more details on the game can be found here.
