A free piece of DLC for peg-popping puzzler Peggle 2 will introduce local and online multiplayer support via a new ‘Duel’ mode, PopCap has announced.
Producer Jared Neuss detailed the content on the game’s Facebook page, revealing that the new mode “will enable players to compete against each other, in the same room or across the Internet, head-to-head on the same board.”
The developer intends to release the mode “as soon as [it] possibly can”.
But Duels is only the first piece of DLC due for Peggle 2, Neuss explains, with “lots of surprises” still in store for the future.
Peggle 2 launched on the Xbox One Games Store yesterday for £9.99.
