Last summer Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima described upcoming PSP espionage sequel, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, as a “MGS5-class game”. Well, it turns out the game began life as just that: Metal Gear Solid 5.
According to Konami spokesperson Jirou Oishi, Peace Walker was titled Metal Gear Solid 5 during its planning stages – there’s even concept logos to prove it. The number was later dropped.
Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker is scheduled for release on May 28, only on PSP.
