Bethesda has released Update 1.1 Patch for the PC and Xbox 360 versions of Fallout 3, bringing both platforms in line with the revised PS3 game.

Last month’s PS3 update added Trophy support and squashed several of the bigger bugs that have blighted the otherwise-excellent RPG. PC and 360 gamers will now gain the same fixes, which largely focus on minor graphical and gameplay issues.

As far as we’re concerned, the most important of these changes are the ones which stop NPCs from disappearing and/or falling to their deaths, a problem that made some quests impossible to finish. Cheating scumbags may be less happy with the patch: Bethesda has removed several exploits that allowed players to farm XP by repeating conversations with certain characters.

The update will automatically apply itself to Xbox 360 copies of the game, provided the user has an active internet connection. PC users should head to Bethesda’s site to download the patch. Full release notes can be read here.
