Assassin’s Creed creator Patrice Desilets, who left Ubisoft in 2010 to join THQ Montreal, is now confirmed to have rejoined the publisher following Ubisoft’s acquisition of THQ Montreal.

“We are very pleased to welcome Patrice to Ubisoft again and anticipate that this renewed partnership will produce new ideas and high-quality titles for Ubisoft’s customers,” a Ubisoft spokesperson told Polygon.

Earlier this year Ubisoft was unable to offer a definitive answer on Desilets’ future.

Desilets joined THQ to work on secret project codenamed 1666, a game now in the hands of Ubisoft.
