How to play PoE2 Early Access?
There are a few ways to join the Early Access to Path of Exile 2. Notably, PoE players who have spent more than $480 on microtransactions in the first game will get an automatic Early Access key. Besides that, there are Supporter Packs available on the GGG store that provide PoE points and EA access, starting at $30 for just the key and 300 Points, and up in the familiar tiered system that comes with cosmetics, MTX, and even some physical goodies.
Path of Exile 2 Early Access features
Path of Exile 2 changes up several systems from the original game. Most notably, the skill gems don’t need to be socketed into gear to be functional any more. Early Access will launch with 6 out of 12 planned player classes, each with 2 out of 3 planned ascendencies. Similarly, the full campaign will feature six acts, but EA will have only the first three. To compensate, there will be another round of the first three acts with juiced-up difficulty, to bridge the gap between expected levels 45 and 65, which is when the endgame begins. This translates roughly to 40-60 hours of campaign before diving into the meatiest part of the game.
Endgame content in PoE 2 will look familiar to veterans, with various types of progression returning, such as Trials, Breach, Expedition, Ritual, Delirium, Pinnacle Bosses, and more. The Atlas has been revamped, now taking place on a map on which you will explore and augment nodes to tailor the endgame content to your liking. And as you’d expect from PoE, there’s a skill tree for everything, including each version of endgame progression.
