Sony has announced plans to remaster a range of classic PSOne and PSP titles for PlayStation 4, including Parappa the Rapper, Locoroco and Patapon.

Due for release in 2017, all three titles are being remastered with updated visuals, including native 4K support on PS4 Pro, plus additional features that take advantage of the DualShock 4, such as a metronome that pulses in time with Parappa the Rapper’s music.

Locoroco, meanwhile, (one of my favourites) uses the motion control functionality of the DualShock 4 to let you rotate the levels.

If you can’t wait until next year to see what they look like, though, a playable demo of Parappa the Rapper is available to download now from PlayStation Store, letting you try out the game’s classic Chop Chop Master Onion stage in UHD. Go and give it a try.Â
