Parappa the Rapper composer headlines new UK video game music festival announced for 2018

Video game music aficionados can rejoice as the National Videogame Museum has today announced plans to launch a new music festival event in Nottingham, UK this coming January.

Entitled All Your Base, the two day event will consist of a series of talks and concerts and will be headlined with a series of sessions by Japanese composer Masaya Matsuura, who was responsible for creating the soundtracks for much-loved music titles Parappa the Rapper and Vib Ribbon. 

In addition, BAFTA award winning composer responsible for soundtracks including Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture and Dear Esther Jessica Curry will narrate a special playthrough of Dear Esther accompanied by the Liverpool Philharmonic orchestra. 

All Your Base will take place across Friday January 19 and Saturday January 20 2018 across Nottingham’s The National Videogame Arcade, Royal Concert Hall and Antenna venues and more acts are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
