American video game magazine Electronic Gaming Monthly reports a rumour that the rhythm-action game Parappa the Rapper is coming to the new Sony console.
The original PlayStation game is scheduled for a re-release on the PSP next month and it’s currently assumed that the new title will follow the same formula, seeing you tap buttons in time to hip-hop to make Parappa, a lyrically talented dog, rap along. The series has previously featured plenty of humour and distinct, paper flat 2D characters in a 3D world, though it is not yet clear how this will be realised on the PS3.
Talking to Pro-G, Sony were unable to comment on the substance of these rumours. Electronic Gaming Monthly was unable to divulge any more information, but also reported on rumours of Silent Hill 5, and EA’s desires to dominate not only the NFL, but NBA and MLB as well.
