Wedbush Securities analyst Michael Pachter expects Activision to announce a “compelling new IP” at this year’s E3, following comments made by the publisher last night.
In a report sent to VideoGamer.com this afternoon, Pachter explained that Activision is “likely to launch another new IP in 2016”, later adding that he expects “the announcement of a compelling new IP at this year’s E3 Expo in June”.
Activision CEO Bobby Kotick revealed last night that the firm expects to “expand our franchise portfolio to 10 blockbusters [in 2015], up from five franchises at the beginning of 2014.”
It has already announced multiple titles for release this year, including new releases in the Call of Duty, Destiny, Skylanders and Tony Hawk franchises.
E3 kicks off in LA on June 16.
