D-Pad Studio has staple-gunned a release date to the upcoming PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of Owlboy, confirming the gravity-defying platformer will be released digitally on April 10.
If you prefer to own a physical copy of the game you can do so, but it’ll mean waiting until May 29, when the game will hit brick-and-mortar retailers for PS4 and Nintendo Switch. The title was originally released on PC in November 2016 and became something of a critical darling, so it’s probably something you’ll want to keep on your radar.
Owlboy sees players thrust into the role of the titular hero, Otus, who upon reaching owl-hood finds himself off on an adventure among the clouds, where he ends up scrapping with enemies and solving brain-teasing puzzles. There’s a charming story tucked away there too, as Otus happens upon ‘burdens that no one should have to bear.’ Sounds like that’ll rustle a few feathers (hardy-ha!).
