Blizzard Entertainment has confirmed the next hero for Overwatch will be medic Jean-Baptiste Augustin.

The studio released a new video short detailing Baptiste's origins story, which looks at how he was orphaned at a young age and pretty much grew up on a battlefield. He later joined Talon, but years later had an attack of conscience and opted to leave. Baptiste now fights to make the world a better place.

Blizzard hasn't yet confirmed when he'll be playable on the PC Public Test Realm, although we'll keep you in the loop.

Interestingly, it is believed that Baptiste is voiced by Benz Antoine, a Haitian-Canadian actor who posted a teaser last month of him recording dialogue at Sound Lounge in New York City, which just so happens to have worked with Blizzard before.

Baptiste also appears to speak with a Haitian accent, so there's that, too. Still, we won't know for sure until Blizzard speaks up.

It's not often I can't say what I'm working on but this time I REALLY can't say anything except that it's gonna be TOTALLY FREAKING AWESOME & I Love NY! #NewYorkActor #ActorsLife #OnLocation #HaitianActor #BigNews #OnTheWay pic.twitter.com/dZwwMPXIcu
