Blizzard Entertainment has confirmed another one of its characters in the massively popular shooter, Overwatch, is a member of the LGBTQ community.
Soldier 76 is now confirmed to identify as gay in a new short story detailing his back story, where he and Ana have a bit of a chinwag about the past. It's here that we learn Soldier 76, real name John Francis 'Jack' Morrison, was involved in a relationship with a man named Vincent.
Morrison isn't too comfortable talking about him, though, describing it as a 'touchy subject.' However, he does reveal that Vincent is now married and that he's happy for him.
Bastet's lead writer, Michael Chu, posted the following message on Twitter to fans:
Thanks for all the messages about “Bastet”!
Jack and Vincent were in a romantic relationship many years ago. Both identify as gay. ❤️

As mentioned, Soldier 76 is the second LGBTQ character featured in Overwatch, the other being Tracer.
