The closed beta for the PC version of Overkill's The Walking Dead is now live and kicking, Starbreeze Studios and Skybound Entertainment have announced.

Access to the teaser is locked down by pre-ordering a copy of the team-based zombie title, although the amount of codes received depends on which version you plump for. If you buy the standard edition, you'll get one code; grab the Deluxe Edition, and you'll receive four closed beta codes.

As for what's in the beta itself, you'll be able to play the game's first two missions alongside two camp defense scenarios. Furthermore, additional stages will be rolled out in the lead up to the PC release on November 6.

Overkill's The Walking Dead is due out on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on February 6, 2019 in the US and February 8 in Europe.

Set in the same universe as Robert Kirkman's graphic novels, Overkill's The Walking Dead focuses on four survivors of the zombie apocalypse in Washington D.C., each possessing their own unique abilities. It's co-op focused, so you'll have to work together to tackle your objectives and avoid getting munched on.
