Oscar Isaac has revealed that he's interested in playing Solid Snake in the upcoming Metal Gear Solid movie, something which director Jordan Vogt-Roberts seems to be keen on, too.

Speaking during a chat with IGN over the weekend, Isaac, who has appeared in a bunch of high-profile films over the past few years, such as Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens and X-Men: Apocalypse, made it clear he's interested in strapping on Snake's sneaking suit.

'Metal Gear Solid, that’s the one,' he said. 'I’m throwing my hat in for that one.'

Word got around to Vogt-Roberts, who noted that casting hasn't yet kicked off, but obviously seems up for Isaac taking on the role.

'To everyone asking how I feel about Oscar Isaac saying he wants to be Solid Snake,' he said. 'The full process required to cast an icon hasn’t even started, but..  Ask @BossLogic where the idea for his brilliant mock up came from. The ball’s in Oscar’s court.'

The Metal Gear Solid movie has been a long time coming, and we still have no idea when it's going to hit cinemas. Still, at least it's still happening, right?
