Crytek and EA, by the way of a Gametrailers exclusive, have announced the original Crysis for the Xbox 360 and PS3. The console versions will also arrive much sooner than you might expect, with the publisher having slapped an October release date on the pair.
According to the debut trailer for the game, the remastered console edition will include all new lighting, all new effects and all new Nanosuit controls.
Back in 2007 the PC version blew us away with its action-packed gameplay and gorgeous visuals, earning a 9/10 in our Crysis review.
Update: EA has confirmed that the game will cost 1600 Microsoft Points on Xbox 360 and £15.99 on PlayStation 3. It’s a port of the single-player portion of Crysis and also includes full stereoscopic 3D.
While it’s strictly a four-year-old game, it could still go toe to toe with many new releases. Does £15.99 seem reasonable?
