Valve doesn’t have a great track record at meeting deadlines, the most recent example being The Orange Box which was originally slated for a winter 2006 release. The game then slipped to summer 2007 and then to an October date.

The slippages don’t stop there though, with Valve director of marketing Doug Lombardi confirming that the PlayStation 3 version will release several weeks later than PC and Xbox 360 versions.

No reason has been given for the delay and Lombardi was unable to offer a precise release date for the PS3 game.

The Orange Box is scheduled for release across Europe for PC and Xbox 360 on October 12. PS3 owners will have to wait for an announcement regarding a release date.
