Koei has today announced that Opoona will be released across Europe, exclusively for the Wii on July 25. Opoona is described as a life-style RPG and is from the team behind four instalments of the best-selling Dragon Quest series.

“With its imaginatively unique controls and compelling storyline, coupled with the amazing talents of the development team, Opoona offers gamers something very different to explore and enjoy.” Said Will Curley, Sales Manager KOEI.

The game begins when a young boy called Opoona crash lands on Planet Landroll after his spaceship is involved in a mysterious accident. He is separated from his family and is forced to live alone. He has to find a job, search for his siblings and defend himself and the people of Landroll against creatures known as the Dark Rogues. The good news is that Opoona is a descendant of a long line of warriors known as the Cosmo Guards.

Opoona is scheduled for release across Europe, exclusively for Wii on July 25, 2008.
