In an attempt to make the N-Gage more competitive, Nokia has announced a new pricing structure the console’s games. Games will now retail for as low as £15 (for older titles), with new releases being priced at £25. The first new games to be released with the new price scheme are X-Men Legends and Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory. Both will be available for £25.

“This new price point makes it even easier to get your hands on an N-Gage QD to experience the thrill of mobile connected gaming,” said Gerard Wiener, Director and General Manager, Games, Nokia. “The N-Gage QD combines the best of phones and games which means it’s always with you when you need a quick fix of gaming. Our latest N-Gage games provide great gaming experiences, whether it’s a 4-player Bluetooth sessions of Snakes, or providing back-up for your friend’s Pathway to Glory platoon on the other side of the world through the N-Gage Arena.”

There is no denying that N-Gage games have risen in quality in recent months, but with two new handhelds on the horizon in Europe, it might be a little too late.
