With Casino Royal arriving in movie theatres this winter, it’s quite normal to expect an accompanying video game, but that simply won’t be the case. In a conference call detailed by GameSpot, Activision chairman Bobby Kotick has revealed that the company won’t be releasing a Bond title until 2008 – coinciding with the May release of the film following Casino Royal.

Kotick also spoke of an “all-new Guitar Hero” game that would be released in the fiscal year 2008 which begins April 2007. Arriving soon after April 2007 are the movie licensed games Spider-Man 3, Shrek 3 and Transformers – all likely to appear alongside their respective movies. Later in the year we’ll also see new titles in the Tony Hawk’s and Call of Duty franchises, plus a new Marvel licensed title.
