Codemasters does not have plans to release future F1 titles on Xbox 360 or PS3, F1 2015’s game designer Steven Embling has confirmed.
Speaking to VideoGamer.com earlier this month, Embling revealed that the company is not actively working on a new F1 game for last-gen consoles, telling us that “we don’t have any plans for the previous generation at this point”.
This year’s F1 2015, which releases on June 12, is in development exclusively for PS4, Xbox One and PC, and is expected to be the publisher’s first current-gen title.
The game is being built on a brand new version of Codemasters’ EGO Engine which promises to deliver enhanced visuals, a “vast improvement” to handling, and a new broadcast-style presentation.
