Despite huge critical acclaim and a positive reaction from consumers, Viva Piñata hasn’t achieved the commercial success it deserved. Nevertheless, the game received a large handful of downloadable content post release to keep fans happy.
This additional content has now dried up and according to a post over in Rare’s Scribes column we shouldn’t expect to see any more.
“We aren’t doing any downloadable content for Viva Piñata because we are much too busy doing something else,” wrote a Rare staffer.
There’s plenty more Viva Piñata on the way though with PC and Nintendo DS versions of the original title in development, plus an all-new party game for Xbox 360 in Viva Piñata Party Animals.
