There will be no option for UK gamers to download The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD earlier than the retail release, Nintendo has confirmed to VideoGamer.com.
In the US the retail version of Wind Waker HD hits stores on October 4, but can be downloaded from the Nintendo eShop from September 20. The UK shares the same retail release date, but Nintendo’s press release made no mention of an earlier download date.
We contacted Nintendo for clarification and received the following response.
“The US launch date is September 20th,” read the statement. “The EU launch date is the 4th October.”
Nintendo offered no reason for the lack of an early download release in the UK.
