Treyarch has confirmed there will be no campaign co-op play in Call of Duty: Black Ops, a feature which was popular amongst players of the studio’s previous franchise instalment, World at War.

The game doesn’t appear to be offering anything in the way of co-op, with no sign of Spec Ops either – a series of cooperative missions featured in Modern Warfare 2.

There has been chatter suggesting World at War’s zombies mode will be heading to Black Ops, but so far we’ve heard no official confirmation or denial from Activision.

It’s not all bad news for COD fans, with Gamertagradio.com confirming the presence of two-player split-screen. It’s not clear if this is limited to local play or if you can go online with a buddy.
