Nintendo will be putting the kibosh on all video streaming services for the Wii from January 31, 2019.

That means you won't be able to stream content through the likes of Netflix anymore, which is a bit of a shame as it's not available on the Switch yet. Well, to be fair, the Big N's console has only just got YouTube, so that's understandable.

Netflix is still supported on the 3DS, although there's no telling how long that will last.

'Unfortunately, Nintendo will suspend all video streaming services on Wii—including the Netflix Channel—after January 31, 2019,' said Netflix. 'We hope you’ll soon enjoy an even better Netflix experience with additional features on a supported device.'

Hopefully Ninty will ramp up video streaming support on the Switch soon enough.
