Nintendo has released a piece of new artwork for its upcoming The Legend of Zelda title, now confirmed for release in 2017 simultaneously on Wii U and NX.

Online comments are already speculating that the item strapped to Link’s waist/thigh could be some form of future tech which acts like a mobile phone – even enabling users to interact with the game via a smartphone app.
