Nintendo has announced that it's to hold the first Nintendo Labo Creators Contest this July, offering creative minds the chance to win some pretty cool looking prizes for those who can come up with the best cardboard creations that utilise the Nintendo Labo software for Nintendo Switch.

There's three categories for budding inventors to submit to, including best creation, best customisation and a dedicated kids category for 12 years and under, but most impressive is the top prize: a special cardboard themed Nintendo Switch. It's not real cardboard of course, but the design looks very cool as you can see from the images below. The top prize in each category will take home one of the special Switches.

Even if you don't win, semi-finalists will get a pair of the specially designed Joy-Cons, and third place in each category will take home an as-yet unannounced prize. Submissions begin July 19 and close September 7. Full details can be found on the Nintendo website.
