Nintendo has revealed that the Switch's dedicated online service will launch in the second half of September.
The format holder confirmed the news in a Tweet earlier this morning, where it also promised to support the service with a 'growing library of NES titles' that will also feature online functionality.
As previously confirmed, Switch Online will also offer a bunch of other much-requested features, including cloud saving and obviously acts as a gateway to online gaming.
As for the NES games, Ninty has revealed that its online service will launch with the likes of Super Mario Bros. 3, Donkey Kong, and The Legend of Zelda. As such, the company recently said that it views Switch Online as a natural successor to the Virtual Console.
Switch Online will carry an annual subscription fee of $19.99.
