Nintendo is rolling out a new tablet-based store solution for buying Wii U and 3DS digital game download codes.
Beginning in the UK, Ireland and Germany – with further European countries to follow – the new platform will enable gamers to visit participating stores to buy full game software, plus add-on content.
Once the customer has made a purchase decision the retailer will use the tablet-based service to issue and print out a unique download code.
If you’re desperate to see how the new system works, it’s already up and running at LEGOLAND Germany and at the Reading branch of Smyths Toys Superstore.
