Nintendo, with the help of Bear, from hit channel 4 show Bo Selecta, are launching a competition to find the biggest, bushiest and bravest comedian, who will appear on TV later this year. The competition being called “Bear Talent” will be fronted by Bear and takes place at 3 of this summer’s biggest music festivals: Download, T in the Park and V Festival.
The winner of the competition will be the person who tells the best joke across all three festivals and will receive an appearance on “A Bear’s Tail”. The Bear had this to say about the competition:
“Hear me now. I am the Bear – So listen up rast-clarts! Nintendo have paid me wedge to promote the new Nintendo DS, it is da bomb! So here I am promoting it, It is da bomb like what I just said! At various festivals over the summer they have a tent which you can come in and have a play with yourself. So come in and get busy and have a touch. Easy now! Word!“
The Bear will voice his opinion on each joke told but it will be up to the public to decide which joke is the best. Each performance will be available to view online at BearTalent where the public vote for the winner.
The Bear Talent festival tent will feature playable Nintendo DS units where festival goers will be able to play some of the console’s latest games. The competition will take place on the following dates:
- Download – 10th-12th June
- T in the Park – 9th-10th July
- V Festival – 20th-21st August
Just remember not to excite Bear too much.
