Nintendo DS tops 20 million in Japan

According to Media Create, The Nintendo DS has now sold more than 20 million units in Japan, capturing 50.26% of the Japanese hardware market since its release in December 2004.

The original Nintendo DS sold six million units by February 2006, with a further 14 million units being sold since the launch of the Nintendo DS Lite.

83.95 million software units have been sold, equating to 40% of the software market, with the two Brain Age titles shifting 8.35 million units combined.
