Nintendo marketing director Laurent Fischer has revealed that the clumsy friend codes system utilised on the Nintendo DS and Wii has been updated for use on 3DS.
Rather than requiring a unique friend code for each game, the 3DS will use just one Multiplayer ID which is attached to the handheld. You simply need to add someone’s ID to add them to your friends list.
The news of a more user-friendly system for multi-player gaming on 3DS is sure to be met with great enthusiasm by gamers fed up with having to cope with multiple friend codes.
