For the week ended July 26, the UK individual formats video game chart according to Chart Track has been totally dominated by the two Nintendo platforms.

Seven of the Top 10 titles are for Wii, while the remaining three positions are filled by Nintendo DS games. All but THQ’s Wall-E at No.9 are platform exclusives.

Looking at the Top 40 as a whole the Nintendo presence isn’t quite as dominating, although still overshadows titles on the Xbox 360 and Sony platforms. 16 titles in the Top 40 are on the Nintendo DS, while Wii games occupy 13 positions. This means Nintendo platforms account for just shy of 75% of the Top 40 video games in the UK.

Xbox 360 has four titles in the Top 40 (the highest being Battlefield: Bad Company at No.14). The PS3 has five titles inside the Top 40 (unsurprising it’s MGS4 at No.11 which is the highest placed). PSP has just the one title (Crisis Core: FFVII), as does the PS2 (Wall-E).
