Officially released financial documents from Nintendo (discovered by IGN) have revealed some very promising news regarding the Wii release schedule. Japanese Wii gamers can look forward to a flurry of AAA fist-party titles in 2007 including Super Mario Galaxy, Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption.

Other heavy hitters currently expected this year include Mario Party 8, Wii Music, Battalion Wars II and Disaster: Day of Crisis. Both Animal Crossing Wii and a new Kirby title were listed but carried no release date.

Although these dates are specifically related to Japan, the news is promising for European and North American gamers. Assuming Nintendo doesn’t release all the big titles at the end of the year there is a good chance we’ll see them here this side of Christmas.

Don’t expect to see many any time soon though; so far only Mario Strikers: Charged has been confirmed for release in Europe (May 25).
