Nintendo 3DS has now sold 6.68 million units worldwide, according to figures released by Nintendo.
Whilst below the platform holder’s target, sales are tracking ahead of that of the Nintendo DS during the same period in its life. Nintendo believes sales of the handheld “have been improving” following a “significant price revision” back in August.
A strong Christmas is now expected.
3DS software sales total 17,560,000 units.
Nintendo’s other platforms, the DS and Wii, stand at 149 million and 89.3 million units sold respectively.
