Ubisoft has today announced a distribution agreement to release Tecmo’s Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword for Nintendo DS across all EMEA territories. The game is set to hit European stores in June 2008.

Developed by Team Ninja executive producer Tomonobu Itagaki and the Team NINJA development studio, Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword is the first title in the series created for Nintendo DS. It features rendered backgrounds, a new story and the same fast-paced action the series is known for.

Ryu Hayabusa’s combat moves have been mapped onto the DS touchscreen and directional buttons allow him to run, jump, attack and cast Ninpo.

The game is scheduled for release in June and you can check out the UK announcement trailer here.
