SEGA Japan, translated by IGN, has announced that NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams will take data from the Wii Weather Channel to replicate real-world weather in-game.

In the game’s My Dream area, a place where players can interact with the A-Life creatures, the weather will reflect that of the conditions of the location you’ve registered with the Wii Weather Channel. If it’s clear outside then the sky will be clear in the game, but if it’s snowing then you’ll also need to wrap up in-game.

The A-Life creatures are said to change their behaviour based on the season, time of day and weather conditions.

NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams is scheduled for release across Europe in January.
