Bandai Namco Games has announced that the first batch of DLC for Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom will drop on August 9.

The DLC will be free to download and is known as the Adventure Pack, with particular emphasis on experienced players. Here, you'll find that the Faraway Forest has gained some extra floors, which will reward you with fresh clobber for Evan and chums upon completion.

If that wasn't enough, Ni no Kuni II owners can also square up against new bosses including Blackhart and Zeta, while fresh quests will be made up for grabs after finishing the story.

Developer Level-5 will then launch a second batch of DLC in the winter, featuring a new puzzle-based dungeon packed with new challenges and tough-as-nails foes.

Finally, early 2019 marks the release of a third slice of DLC that introduces a new story expansion and other features. Full details are being kept under wraps right now, though.

Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom was released on PlayStation 4 and PC  back in March.
