The next Batman game from UK studio Rocksteady will be based on DC Comics’ 1950s Silver Age series, which saw the caped crusader form The Justice League of America, reports Variety.
The new title, being developed as a prequel, will revolve around Batman’s first meeting with the Joker.
Mark Hamill has said he won’t be returning to play the Joker in the next game.
Variety doesn’t expect to see the game in stores any sooner than in 2014.
A Wii U version of Batman: Arkham City is expected to launch alongside the console this holiday.
