Ubisoft has revealed that the next instalment in its Assassin’s Creed franchise, confirmed earlier this week to feature a multiplayer element, will continue the story of Assassin’s Creed II and hero Ezio.
“We have a new Assassin’s Creed that we expect will be a very high quality product that as well as an offline component will have a multiplayer component,” said Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot.
Guillemot also explained that development is to be handled by the same studios responsible for ACII.
Ubisoft has said the game will be out before the end of March 2011, but based on the franchise’s release history a November 2010 launch seems most likely.
