THQ may be revealing a new WWE game tonight. Reports state the publisher will be dropping the “Smackdown vs. Raw” name or possibly may potentially release an entirely new title.
According to The Wrestling News Source, “both WWE and THQ believe [Smackdown vs Raw] title is no longer relevant as there is not legitimate brand rivalry in WWE anymore like there was when the series first began.”
The website predicts a new format for the franchise with the next WWE title under THQ set to be revealed as WWE 2012.
The WWE Game page on Facebook says it is revealing a “new era” of WWE which makes this announcement all the more likely.
