New Super Mario Bros. was released in North America on May 15, an in the period since then has sold more than 500,000 units. Nintendo informs us that this equates to a sell through rate of more than 20 units per minute since release, which isn’t bad at all. The game hasn’t quite made it to Europe yet, but thankfully will be sitting on store shelves come this time next week.

One thing European gamers can get their hands on today is the Nintendo DS Lite, which finally went on sale across Europe this morning. Nintendo will be hoping to build on the success of the DS, which has sold more than 4.5 million units across Europe since its launch.
