The director’s chair for the Assassin’s Creed movie appears to be closer to being filled after it was confirmed that New Regency is holding talks with Justin Kurzel for the position.
Kurzel is currently finishing work on an adaptation of Macbeth which stars Marion Cotillard and Assassin’s main man Michael Fassbender.
Sources suggest that Fassbender himself is pushing for Kurzel, after Ubisoft and New Regency looked at both Safe House director Daniel Espinosa and The Raid’s Gareth Evans.
Michael Lesslie was recently brought on to do a rewrite on the script.
