European developer Ivolgamus has today announced the development of Fading Shadows, an all-new puzzle-platformer coming exclusively to PSP early in 2008.

In the game players use a magical beam of light to control an orb and guide it to safety. The beam of light can be used to exploit the state-changing abilities of the orb, making it possible to pass through swamps, travel over mountains, explore deserted cities and investigate castles. The orb can turn into wood, metal or glass, with each playing an important role in completing the game’s 40 single-player levels.

Ivolgamus is also promising 10 multiplayer levels for competitive wireless play.

Fading Shadows is currently scheduled for release exclusively for PSP in February.
