Not content with attempting to polish up the Xbox One version of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, developer Bluehole confirmed today that it’s also preparing to launch a new update for the PC version of the hit title.

The latest PUBG update is currently being tested by the team and will hit the game’s live servers shortly thereafter. The patch adds a wealth of bug fixes for the popular survival-’em-up, as well as reducing draw distance while parachuting, and more cover options around La Bendita.

Bluehole is also clamping down hard on cheaters, with players now able to report dodgy gamers in a more detailed manner utilising the replay system. The new crate system is also being tested, with players able to loot one free of charge (Biker) and the other requiring a key to open (Desperado).

‘Each time you spend BP to get a crate, you will get one of the 4 available crates. There will be a much higher chance of getting one of the two new ones. You can see the exact percentage values below. The BP value, the new items and the keys won’t be transferred to live accounts. They are granted purely for the purpose of testing, to make sure that everything stays stable once the test build is moved to the live servers. As always, all our crate items are purely cosmetic in nature and provide no gameplay advantage,’ a Steam post reads.
