A post on the official Elder Scrolls fourms has shed light on the price structure and expected release date of the latest updates. According to the forum post we can expect ‘The Orrery‘ update to be released later this week, priced at only $1.89 on the PC and 150 Microsoft points (also about $1.90/£1.25) on Xbox 360. ‘The Wizard’s Tower update has no set release date.
“The Horse Armor Pack has been very popular, and exceeded what we thought it would sell,” reads the forum post. “Despite that, we’re still trying to find the right spot, so we’re putting a much larger plug-in out for less than the last one and we’ll see what happens.“
The Orrery update allows the player to help the Mages Guild of Cyrodiil repair the Imperial Orrery, an ancient Dwarven machine with mystical properties. In order to repair the Orrery a number of parts must be recovered from bandits. Once the quest is complete the player will have access to the Imperial Orrery and also gain new powers based on the phases of the moons.
The Wizard’s Tower update gives players access to a Wizard’s Tower located high in the Jeral Mountains of Cyrodiil. The tower should prove invaluable to magic-orientated characters giving you a home to set up shop and grow herbs in a botanical garden, make spells, and summon Atronach Familiars. The tower comes furnished and includes a bed for levelling up. Players will be able to upgrade the furnishing to suit their tastes, so don’t be put off by the previous occupant’s décor.
The forum post also gives details on two upcoming patches for both versions of the game. The first patch will appear in beta form on PC, before a final is released on PC and Xbox 360. Bethesda is also working on a second patch to fix some localization issues with the European version of the game.
