The New Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo 3DS XL will release in Australia and New Zealand this November – one month after the console’s debut in Japan.

The two new systems will be available on November 21, and will be the first launch for the console outside of Japan. The console is expected to arrive in North America and Europe next year.

The new 3DS models feature an upgraded processor, second analogue stick and additional buttons, with built-in support for Nintendo’s upcoming Amiibo characters. Certain upcoming 3DS games will only be compatible with the new models, too.

The New Nintendo 3DS will retail for $219.95 AUD (£118), with the 3DS XL coming in at $249.95 (£135).

Details on a UK launch have yet to be announced.
