Fresh entries in the Need for Speed and Plants vs. Zombies franchises are in the works, Electronic Arts' Blake Jorgensen confirmed in wake of the publisher's third quarter earnings.
It's still early days yet, obviously, although we do know that both games will turn up by April 2020 at the latest. He also reiterated that Respawn's Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will launch later this year.
'We’re making adjustments to improve execution and we’re refocusing R&D,' said Jorgensen. 'Looking forward, we’re delighted to launch Anthem, our new IP, to grow Apex Legends and related Titanfall experiences, to deliver new Plants vs. Zombies and Need for Speed titles, and to add Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order to our sports titles in the fall.'
It's been a couple of year since we saw Need for Speed and Plants vs. Zombies, as we haven't seen new games in either series since November 2017 and February 2016, respectively.
