The Tronji television series, which will air on CBBC, is aimed at children aged 6-9 years and involves two co-existing worlds: the Tronji world and the real world. The series will blend live-action and real children with a CG-animated environment.

The online game will immerse children in the Tronji world and allow them to engage and explore with other children in an interactive and evolving environment. The game is billed as the most ambitions game of its type for children of this age.

Nice Tech, a leading MMO and virtual development studio, has announced that work on the game is going very well. The project has been given a 12-month development schedule and is on course for completion early in 2008.

The Tronji MMO is now ready to begin its first focus testing sessions, which will see many children over the next four months trying out the game. Online testing will make it possible to follow what the children are doing, logging what they enjoy and also discovering what isn’t working and needs modifying.
